India's second oldest medical college in India, the Madras Medical College (MMC) was set up on February 2, 1835. The institute is one of the foremost centres of post graduate medical education in the country with 425 Seats. The institute offers undergraduate degrees and postgraduate degrees, diplomas and super-specialty courses. The first batch of students graduated in 1852 and were granted the Diploma of Graduate of the Madras
