Established in the year 1845, Grant Medical College and Sir JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, is a leading medical institution of India with 166 years of glorious history. Managed and run by the Government of Maharashtra, it is the oldest medical institution in Western India and offers undergraduate and postgraduate medical training and health care ranging from broad specialties to super-specialties along with tertiary care to patients.

•The institute stands apart from any other medical institute in the state because of its unique topography, connectivity and persistent leadership in medical training and health care for common man over past one and a half century.
•The institute has four hospitals attached to it - Sir J. J. Hospital , St. George’s Hospital ,Gokuldas Tejpal (GT) Hospital and Cama Albless Hospital . All these have a combined bed strength of 2844 and caters to an annual load of 1,200,000 out patients and 80,000 indoor patients, from all parts of Maharashtra and central India.
•The institute has an annual intake of 200 undergraduate students for MBBS and over 190 postgraduate students for various MD/ MS/ Diploma/ Super specialty courses.
